Pod assisted in Aperol’s mission to raise their presence outside of London and introduce new drinkers to the unique taste of an Aperol Spritz, disrupting the gin cycle, and educating consumers on the Aperitivo occasion and the perfect serve.
Our Account team researched and created an 8 week journey plan of suitable bars and pubs that fitted the key criteria and facilitated communication with each to sell in, schedule and confirm each visit - a huge task but one essential to the success of the campaign.
Pod's carefully selected and fully trained Aperol Instigators, brought Aperols brand story and key values to life by educating consumers in key locations and at the point of purchase. Our team of 12 Instigators identified target consumers in bars and encouraging them to swap their current drink for a free Aperol Spritz, while educating them on the Aperitivo occasion. Key to the success of this activation was working closely with the venues to ensure they were also aware of the brand and most importantly the perfect serve method.
Our expert ambassadors served over 5000 Aperol Spritz, in 150 outlets with an approach that not only engaged consumers, but that also excited the outlet owners – the win for them being that each Aperol Spritz was bought at full retail value and the promise of further purchase was just a sip away.
